Welcome to the seventh issue of The American Homeopath. I am very honored to be editing this exemplary journal, as I was part of the inaugural issue of this journal with Greg Bedayn. I assisted in writing, editing and marketing for the first three issues and so this journal is very close to my heart. I hope I can carry on the passion and dedication that was its founding impulse.
 This issue brings contributions from all corners of the globe, including updates on the status of homeopathy from France, Czechoslovakia, and Armenia. It is interesting to see that homeopaths in these countries use translations of repertories and materia medicas from the great American minds of Kent and Hering, among others. The spirit and resources from the golden age of homeopathy in America have circled round the globe and have returned to us enhanced.
 I am pleased to present here a re-print of articles first published in the Homoeopathic Recorder in 1943. Entitled Selected Aphorisms Of Hippocrates with Comments By Dr von Boenninghausen, this is a translation of some of the highlights of Boenninghausen's masterful comments on the work by Hippocrates, written circa 400 BC. We have Julian Winston in New Zealand to thank for preserving and resurrecting (not to mention scanning) this wonderful work.
 One of the great joys of being an editor is communicating with the brilliant minds in our community. And I have had many such joys in gathering the material for this issue.
 It is the journals of the past that carry our heritage. The journals of the future will record the insights of tomorrow. In print, we spread the wonder of our discoveries, our insights, our wisdom, our growth.
 I hope you enjoy this journal as much as I have enjoyed putting it together for you.

Urethra has a sphincter mechanism that holds urine inside the bladder.
