Homeopathic Remedies for Behavioral Problems in Children

Image
- Dr Sunitha Devi Vannemreddy, M.D(Hom), consult the doctor at drsunithavannemreddy@gmail.com Toddlers are naturally curious about the world. They learn behaviour and social skills by testing and experimenting with everything around them. Good self-esteem helps them try new things without too much fear of failing. Constantly telling your toddler ‘no’ can pour cold water on this natural curiosity. You might want to try some other ways to change behaviour you don’t like. Nobody's perfect and all children will have bouts of bad behaviour. They may have temper tantrums, or talk back to their parents or teachers. When things start to get out of hand, however, it may be a clue that something in the child or teen's life needs attention. Children and teens can seem irritable or even hostile when they are tired or aren't feeling well. They may argue with parents or disobey them. Young children may lie because they are too young to understand the difference between the truth a...

- Dr Sunitha Devi Vannemreddy, M.D(Hom), consult the doctor at drsunithavannemreddy@gmail.com. Temper tantrums are unpleasant and disruptive behaviors or emotional outbursts. Every parent can expect to witness some temper tantrums in children from age 1–4 years. On average, temper tantrums are equally common in boys and girls, and more than half of young children will have one or more per week. At home, there are predictable situations that can be expected to trigger temper tantrums, such as bedtime, suppertime, getting up, getting dressed, bath time, watching TV, parent talking on the phone, visitors at the house, family visiting another house, car rides, public places, family activities involving siblings, interactions with peers, and playtime. Homeopathic remedies for Obscure fevers treatment in small children

Image
- Obscure fevers in small children (G. Tucker) , This title of "Obscure Fevers in Small Children," is misleading, for it is not the fever that is obscure; in fact, fever is the most prominent and often the only symptom that proclaims the child sick. A better title would be "Fevers Due to Obscure Causes in Children." Please to note that we say children, for we do not wish to consider for the time the infant, but rather the child after the period of first dentition, say two and a half years onward to ten years, possibly to puberty, which is, strictly speaking, the child period.  Formative periods of life are easily disturbed, and the function of a developing organ is very easily deranged, hence it follows that the physiology of a child subjects it easily to morbid conditions, and fever is one of the most frequent of symptoms to proclaim the child out of the normal state.  In sickness waste is greater than repair, and there can be no development during this time:...

Homeopathic remedies for Infantile Constipation tretment

Image
- BERNARD H., The Homoeopathic Treatment of Constipation Childhood, that is to say the period between birth and puberty, is characterized by a gradual increase in the growth of all the tissues and a corresponding activity of the nutritive organs. To this is added a very marked impressibility of the whole nervous system. It is not unreasonable then to devote a paragraph to the constipation of children.  "In some cases the constipation may be due to functional derangement of the liver as in jaundice, where the stools may be hard, dry and clay-colored, showing a deficiency in the secretion of bile. Deficient or too tenacious intestinal mucus is another cause; the constipation of most febrile affections is mainly due to this condition, or to augmented perspiratory, or urinary secretions. Nervous, acid children are predisposed to constipation. The nutriment, especially the amylaceous class, boiled milk, soups containing meal, rice, sago, etc., is another cause. Too slight peri...

Difference Between Homeopathic remedy Cina & Chamomila Child

Image
-  Dr Jitesh Sharma,  jiteshsharma2007 ( at )gmail.com Studied in greece with Dr George Vithoulkas and now with Dr Rajan Sankaran. Chamomila Child The main feeling of both these remedies is that they are not getting enough attention from their parents. Chamomilla reacts to this by loud shrieking and demanding, not quietened unless carried, whereas Cina reacts with irritability and temper-tantrums such as throwing things, capriciousness and pushing away her parents ("Touched, aversion to being", "Caressed, aversion to being", "Indifference to caresses", "Striking in children", etc.), as if to say: "Where were you when I needed you?" The need for attention in Cina is therefore seen as a refusal and rejection of the same, and as capriciousness which involves also demanding many things without knowing what. It is a kind of pest-like behaviour, with frequent complaining and demanding of attention, a kind of behaviour that makes ...

The nursery -Care of Infants

Image
- Benson.A.R, The nursery -Care of Infants  From the standpoint of the baby, the nursery is the most important room in the house. Here he spends the greater part of his time, and here he receives his first impressions of the external world. His comfort and his health depend largely upon his surroundings. It is therefore necessary to make the nursery attractive and sanitary.  Windows : In selecting a room, it is first of all necessary that it should have plenty of windows and a southern exposure. Light and air are the first essentials of life, and there must be plenty of both in the nursery. The windows should be high enough from the floor to prevent draughts of air from striking small children who are beginning to walk, or if this is not possible, the cracks at the sides and bottoms of the windows should be covered with felt. The windows should be provided with two sets of shades, one of which is of dark material so as to exclude the light when necessary.  D...

Bathing -The Infant Care

Image
- Benson.A.R, Bathing -The Infant  As soon as the baby is born, the skin should be anointed with pure warm olive oil. After twelve hours a sponge bath with warm water may be given, which may be continued daily for two weeks, after which the baby may be bathed in a tub daily unless such baths are contra-indicated. If, after bathing, the skin or nails turn blue, or if the baby shows indications of weakness or lowered vitality, a tub bath should not be given. Premature babies, or those which are very weak and puny at birth, should not receive tub baths, and frequently all bathing must be omitted until the baby is stronger. Bathing is a luxury, not a necessity, and the bath must be adapted to the individual baby. Only general rules can be laid down.  A bath thermometer should be used if possible. When a thermometer is not available, the nurse should test the temperature, not by the hand, but by touching the elbow to the water. Water which seems right to the hand is of...
