LAUROCERASUS:

Spasmodic oppression of the chest (Ign.). Dyspnoea, with
sensation as if the lungs would not be sufficiently expanded (Asaf., Crot. tig.). Gasping for breath; suffocating spells. Cough, with a whistling sound, as if the membranes were too dry; from tickling in the throat; in paroxysms; frequent, short; coughing up blood; dry cough, with feeling as if mucus were
hanging in throat, and could not be loosened. Stitches in the region of the heart (Kalm., Kali carb.).
Whooping cough in puny children when there is a history of feeble heart blue cold skin and laryngeal spasm.
Cardiac cough.
Clubbing of fingers, which is a common feature in cyanosis and phthisis, is a characteristic of Lauro. "Lack of reactive power," low vitality, is another keynote of Lauro. This is particularly so when occurring in chest affections.
Long lasting faints (Camph. has sudden fainting); seems to have no reactive power; face pale, blue; surface cold.
SUFFOCATIVE SPELLS ABOUT THE HEART, WORSE FROM SITTING, BETTER FROM LYING DOWN
Asphyxia neonatorum. Lauro. has cyanosis both of the new-born infant and of heart disease. Coldness and blueness with epileptiform convulsions. A dry, tickling cough, Lauro. has also a cough with jelly-like expectoration dotted with bloody points.

LOBELIA INFLATA.
Indian Tobacco. (Fields and roadsides from Canada to Southern U.S.A.) N O. Lobeliaceae.
Sensation of pressure or weight in chest; better by rapid walking
Asthma, attacks with weakness, felt in pit of stomach and preceded by prickling all over. Dyspnea from constriction of chest, worse any exertion. Spasmodic cough with sneezing, belching or gastric pain. Cramp, ringing cough, short breath, catching at throat. Senile emphysema. Irritation
which provokes coughing and expectoration.
LEDUM PAL
Marsh tea
Cough with bloody expectoration. Hemoptysis, alternating with rheumatism or coxalgia. Dyspnea, chest feels constricted. Suffocative arrest of breathing.
Bronchitis with emphysema of aged. Whooping cough, spasmodic double inspiration with sobbing. Yellow, purulent, sputum.

MILLEFOLIUM.
Achillea millefolium. Yarrow. N. O. Compositae.
Tincture of whole fresh plant.
Hemoptysis with incipient tuberculosis. Cough with bloody sputum in suppressed menses or hemorrhoids. Very difficult breathing with titanic spasms.

NAJA TRIPUDIANS.
Cobra di Capello.The hooded snake of Hindustan. N O. Elapidae.
Breathing very slow, shallow and scarcely perceptible, labored and difficult, gasping for breath. Cardiac asthma or cough. Puffing breathing. Asthma preceded by coryza worse lying, better sitting up. Asthmatic constriction in chest, evenings. Suffocative spells after sleeping. (Lach.) Irritating,
dry cough from sticky mucus and saliva. Cough with tightness and fullness in larynx. Hoarseness, short, hoarse cough. Dry, hacking cough with blood-spitting. Expectoration of whitish viscid mucus in morning on waking. Spitting of blood, which had no tendency to coagulate.

NUX MOSCHATA
Myristica fragrans.Nutmeg. N O. Myristicaceae.
Hoarse voice when walking against the wind. (Hep.) Hysterical cough, worse when getting warm in bed. Dyspnea with feeling of weight in chest, asthma hysterical, difficult inhalation. Loss of breath when standing in water. Cough when getting warm in bed.
Sneezing; early in morning. Over sensitiveness to smell; loss of smell.
Catarrh Nose bleed, blood usually dark, black
Hoarse voice when walking against the wind. (Hep.) Hysterical cough,
worse when getting warm in bed. Dyspnea with feeling of weight in chest,
asthma hysterical, difficult inhalation. Loss of breath when standing in water. Cough when getting warm in bed.
