GENITAL INJURIES
 Male Genitalia
Male genital injuries
Injury to the genitalia is frequent in men, and they must be referred for medical attention. Male athletes should be encouraged to wear suitable protection for the scrotum and penis during competition and training. Traumatic injury to the scrotum may occur from contact with another athlete or dancer or equipment. The immediate result is usually incapacitating pain, and serious long-term effects may be precipitated.
Injury to the testicles may occur during and after cycling. The same remedies may be used according to the symptoms. Torsion of the testicles usually presents as a painful testicle and must be referred to a doctor.
Priapism, or persistent erection, caused by cycling may respond to Cantharis, but the patient should be referred to a doctor or a professional homoeopath.
Cold applications may help to relieve the pain but the following remedies will be more effective. Only give one at a time in the 6c

Female Genitalia
Female Genitalia Injuries
Injury to the female genitalia may become more common with the increased popularity of soccer and rugby for women. Arnica is the first remedy to use for bruising. If bleeding from the vagina or labia occurs as a result of injury and has not been stopped by Arnica, one of the following remedies may be useful. It is imperative that if bleeding continues even a short time after the injury, the woman should see a doctor for assessment and treatment.
Female participants in long distance and stamina events who develop sore nipples will find that Calendula cream relieves this, and that Arnica or Causticum taken orally before the event helps to prevent the soreness becoming too painful.
