The Sepia
patient is indifferent, even to her own family,
Key Symptoms.
Sinking down of the abdominal organs, due to the general looseness of all tissues. Everything is slackened ; the features, the ribs, the blood vessels. These women are suffering from varicosities, haemorrhoids, congestion of the genital organs, oedema of legs. Dark shadowed rings around the eyes, yellowish pigmentation of the face around the nose and on the forehead. Aggravation in the morning, better after walking in fresh air, especially at midday.
Special Symptoms.
Profuse and too early menstruation, menstrual flow usually dark, coupled with crampy colics and a sensation as though she must cross her legs to keep everything from coming out through the vagina. Leucorrhoea, the discharge being of a varied nature. Metrorrhagia, due to chronic inflammation and dislocation of the womb. Great dryness of the vagina. Sepia follows well after Pulsatilla.
