Graphite is a crystalline form of carbon. It is nothing but a high grade coal but difficult to ignite.

Uses of Graphites Homeopathic Ointment:

Graphites is useful in Unhealthy skin of Eczema. External application of this ointment helps in those cases where every little injury causes suppuration, the tendency of skin to form pus easily. 

It is also most useful in skin complaints that are itching all over the body, with or without eruptions The patient who need Graphites ointment are worse AT NIGHT and from WARMTH OF BED. 

Another most importance of Graphites is,it can cure the FISSURES; CRACKS that are formed on fingers; nipples; labial commissures and at anus and uvula,between the toes. 

ULCERS with glutinous, thick, sticky, discharge; crusty; scabby ulcers; with proud flesh; with burning; itching and stinging pains, with indurated base and margins. ROUGH; HARD; DRY SKIN.

      The 3x trituration use of Graphites, 3 or 4 tablets, twice a day, is said to improve the looks and health of fleshy women with coarse complexions or skin. Take them for a week and then discontinue for a week or two, as it is never wise to take a drug persistently for weeks or months, without intermission. Spinach The English Family Doctor a journal says that the free eating of spinach acts as a tonic and beautifier.
 Lips that are dry, burning and cracked have been relieved by graphites ointment.
An ointment of Graphites or an application of old-fashioned gunpowder which is coated with graphites. is said to be a cure for sore hoofs in horses, sheep, etc. Also some given internally, most conveniently, in water.
  A case of deafness following scarlet fever of long standing was cured by graphites 30. Give once a day. Perhaps the 200th or 500th potency would be more effective.

The chief use of Graphites oint is in the treatment of skin diseases, especially moist eczematous eruptions, which may occur upon any part of the body, more especially the scalp, face and genitals; tinea capitis; herpes zoster; impetigo; ulcers; excoriations; has removed old cicatrices after ulcers and abscesses; skin, especially on back of hands, becomes dry, hard, thick and fissured; unhealthy skin, injury tend to ulcerate (Hep. s); sometimes useful in vesicular erysipelas. Rhus poisoning. A clinical indication for Graphites oint in skin disease is that the itching remedy in the enlargement of the lymphatic glands of the neck and axillae, and also of the inguinal and mesenteric glands. From this prominent action upon the skin and glands may be inferred the uses of Graphites in scrofulous affections.

Graphites ointment is useful in the Diseases of Skin arises in any of the folds. the back of the ear, canthus of the eye, angles of the mouth the groins, bends of the elbows, round the wrists and particularly about the anus; in this site are found deep painful fissures oozing a thin, sticky, yellowish discharge. As the discharge dries it forms thick crusts which pile up as secretion of matter continues beneath; and the crusts come off to reveal the same kind of gluey yellowish discharge, very often streaked with blood. In my experience children suffering from asthma who have a history of skin troubles are not helped by graphites internally.
